Managing one’s own finances can be easy. Students and professionals will hear from experts about how their roles at a financial technology company helps others to gain financial freedom. They will acquire knowledge on how to power their prosperity by learning the basics of setting financial goals and tracking expenses, budgeting and savings, building credit and where to find answers to other financial questions.

Kim Hays is senior manager corporate affairs and government relations at Intuit, where she advocates critical issues impacting the financial technology sector to Congress and the Administration. Prior to this role, she served as director of government relations for the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), representing NAM's 14,000 members, as one of the NAM's federal lobbyists in Washington, DC. She joined the NAM after 7 years working for democratic leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives in the Office of House Democratic Caucus Chair John B. Larson (D-CT), working in various capacities until rising to senior advisor. Prior that she worked as a membership development director and events coordinator for the National Democratic Club.

Originally from Lake Forest, Illinois, Kim earned a B.A. in English Literature and a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Virginia. She sat on the board ofthe Illinois State Society from 2018-2020, where she has been a member since 2016.

She has guest lectured at: Covent ofthe Sacred Heart-91s1 Street, Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America, and Evans School of Public Policy and Governance, University of Washington.

As an Innovation Catalyst with deep expertise in Personal Finance Jared serves as a Board Member for the Jump$tart Coalition, a committee member for the NY State Comptroller on Personal Finance, and has been tasked with designing the Congressional Award's first ever Personal Finance Program.

Alejandra Molinari

For nearly 8 years, Alejandra has served as the Communication Lead and spokesperson for Intuit Turbo Tax serving Underpenetrated segments including Latino, Self-Employed and Investor audiences.

She is responsible for overseeing all external efforts to drive brand awareness among Hispanic, Self-Employed and Investor consumers including public relations, social media, digital marketing, community outreach, and media partnerships to name a few. Since joining the company, she has been a driving force behind getting the company to increase resources to serve those strategic communities and has grown those communication programs year after year. Prior to joining Intuit, Alejandra has over 15 years of Marketing experience in the highly competitive communications media industry. She came from the media world working for Entravision Communications leading client advertising programs airing in Univision, Telemundo, UniMas, Mundo Fox and My TV 13 TV channels to name a few.

Originally, she is from Santiago- Chile, Alejandra and moved to the U.S. 20 years ago attending San Diego State University where she earned a Liberal Arts & Sciences, Communications degree with emphasis in public relations, and a minor in marketing.
