NAHJ New England is growing.

Here are two ways that you can support NAHJ New England.
Sponsor NAHJ New England’s inaugural Journalism Awards
Help NAHJ New England celebrate our inaugural NAHJ New England Journalism Awards, recognizing Hispanic/Latinx journalists across the region. The ceremony will be held virtually on Thursday, Oct. 12, 6:30-7:30 p.m., during Hispanic Heritage Month, announcing the winners of several journalism categories for professional and student journalists chosen by 14 volunteer judges from outside of New England. The New England board will bestow the NAHJ New England Impact Award to a journalist in New England who has demonstrated leadership in promoting fair coverage of Latinos and the advancement of Latino/a/x journalists in the news industry. We are excited to launch these new awards to elevate the accomplishments of Latinx journalists and showcase exemplary coverage of Latino issues in our region. For sponsorship rates and benefits, see below. The deadline to become a sponsor of the NAHJ New England Journalism Awards or place an advertisement in the program ceremony e-booklet is 5 PM EDT, Monday, Oct. 2. |

Support our Career Development and Leadership Training programming
Give a charitable donation directly to NAHJ New England so we can launch our yet-to-be-named training sessions for early- and mid-career journalists and seminars for newsroom leaders. We will be leveraging the talent within our network — NAHJ New England members who are newsroom leaders, audience engagement specialists and journalism curriculum developers — to create hands-on, knowledge-expanding workshops aimed at building reporting frameworks. With your support, we will create a meaningful series of inspiring workshops for journalists and thought leaders about our communities so they can produce nuanced and thorough stories that expand public knowledge. Sponsorship is welcome year-round. |

Your donation is valuable for funding future scholarships for student journalists, as well as fellowships for young professionals entering the industry in the region. Sponsorship money will also fund training sessions and workshops to help journalists expand their skill sets and storytelling abilities. This is an opportunity to donate to the only journalism organization in New England dedicated to developing Hispanic journalists. The executive board’s goal is to deepen people’s understanding about issues affecting Hispanic/Latinx populations and immigrant communities and help develop newsroom leaders.
