New Jersey Membership Aid Program
Montclair State University's Center for Cooperative Media is offering complimentary NAHJ memberships for professional and student journalists in the state of New Jersey.
The Center for Cooperative Media works to grow and strengthen local journalism and support an informed society in New Jersey and beyond, primarily through its NJ News Commons network and national collaborative journalism program. The Center provides a wide range of professional development, coaching and networking opportunities for journalists in New Jersey as well as fellowships, grants and project support. The Center is providing these complimentary NAHJ memberships in an effort to improve equity and diversity in the New Jersey news ecosystem. The Center’s ultimate goal is to ensure there are more Hispanic and Latinx reporters, editors and executives in jobs throughout the news industry.
Who is eligible for this aid?
This aid is open to professional and student journalists who are:
• First-time NAHJ members
• Have been members in the past
• Would like to extend their membership for another year
What are the requirements?
None, any journalist in New Jersey that would like to be part of the NAHJ community, or would like to continue their membership, are welcome to request this aid.
Is there an obligation on my part to the MSU's Center for Cooperative Media if I take this membership?
No, this membership comes to you free of obligation. MSU's Center for Cooperative Media is not asking for anything in return nor will they receive your information if you become a member using the instructions below.
How do I receive this aid?

It’s easy to join, renew or extend your membership! take advantage of this unique offer by following these five quick steps:
2. On the New Users section, enter your email and click on Register. Create a password and you’ll be taken to the Membership page. If you already have an account, log in to your account.
3. Select the membership type that best fits you and fill out your information, then click on Next.
4. On the discount code bar enter: MTCLAIRGIFT, then click Apply. The total amount should turn to $0.
5. Click on Submit, and this will take you to your member profile.
